The Toilet Design Toolkit is a digital tool designed to support architects, designers, academics and students in critically and creatively rethinking notions of access in relation to the toilet design process.

2018 / In partnership with Jen Slater – Sheffield Hallam University, Lisa Procter – Manchester Metropolitan University and a range of disability and gender group representatives /

The Toilet Design Toolkit has been developed in response to the stories of people involved in the Around the Toilet project for whom accessing a safe and comfortable toilet space is a continual challenge.

The work incorporated gender and disability studies with architectural design and research, to offer an open access resource that provides detailed information, toilet templates, links and case studies.
